Process to Progress

After much debate, I chose Earwax as my "re-design" project. There's much I can do to incorporate my style and my love for music, all while conveying the message that this establishment needs to convey to their target consumers.

LET'S CATCH UP...

First and foremost I would like to apologize to the masses for neglecting my blog for such an extended period of time. Work, school, music and just life in general keeps me from getting a chance to even look at my computer outside of GSU walls. However, just because one doesn't hear from me in a while doesn't means progress ceases. Let's recap, shall we?

THE CONCEPT
The initial project for GRD 3200 was to go out and find three local "mom & pop" establishments who are in desperate need of a logo revamp. After a days worth of searching, I came across two that were of particular interest to me.

EARWAX Records
An "underground" record, cd, and dvd spot in the heart of downtown Atlanta. This store is perfect for any music enthusiast and the cure for the common dj. With a massive selection of vinyls and a wide variety of urban albums and mixtapes, their logo does this remarkable establishment an extreme injustice.

Walter's Clothing
A nation renowned urban clothing store located conveniently right across the street from GSU's general classroom building. Walter's has been around for a couple decades and have been visited by numerous hip-hop and rap moguls for one reason or another. However, their logo is starting to show the company's age and is long over-due for a facelift.
